If you want to add a cliffhanger element to the show then here's my suggestion: At the end of the episode, draw the method of Sim death (e.g. electrocution) but don't draw the name of sim who'll die. Instead, draw it at the beginning of the next show, Result: a week of breathless speculation! (and gambling) Who'll it be?

All spoiler buffer images should be Nicolas Cage images. Sublime!

I wouldn't mind the team doing a Left 4 Dead vs AI stream (regular 4 v computer), on a difficulty which would make it very challenging for them all to survive. This could make for some fun stories.

For a real challenge, they could do East v West, trading off playing as teams of survivors & zombies. They probably have just enough staff to pull this off.

@eazeapeazea:

Sometimes I read the first few entries of the comment section to decide if I want to watch a video. It's nice to know that people are excited about something that happened yet not actually know exactly what happened.

After the first page of comments? Yes probably no need to hide spoilers.

@artisanbreads: Yes, there is a way to see a soldier's abilities in mission. It was good to point this out. Vinny should take note of this and encourage his commanders to use it, especially since they only play XCOM once every three weeks!

@yellownumber5: Last reply I promise.

If you search within r/buildapc "should I upgrade to a 1070 or 1080" you find a lot of good responses. Here's a good one that addresses the video card and monitor questions.

@yellownumber5: You should also think about how capable your monitor is at displaying higher frame rates. If you are using a modest display maybe a video card upgrade might not improve things all that much. I don't know much about this I just know it's a factor. Another question for r/buildapc.

@yellownumber5:

The first question: can your PSU handle a 1080 as your system is currently configured. Use a wattage calculator to figure that out. Another concern is how much trust you have in your PSU. Is it considered a good make? Does it have a lengthy warranty. You don't want to install a $600 card only to have the PSU blow up on you and take out your shiny new card. You also need to know if your PSU has the right connectors to power whatever 1080 you get. Opinions differ about how much headroom you need on between your system draw and your max psu capability.

Here's a wattage calculator

The second question: should you upgrade the 970 and what should you upgrade it to, given your situation?

There's a tech channel I like on Youtube called Tech Deals and he contemplated upgrading from the 970. He recommends upgrading to a 1070, which is 80% faster according to his tests. Your mileage may vary. But you might not need to go all the way to a 1080 to get a nice boost.

Third question: is a 1080 going to far outstrip the capabilities of your other components other than PSU. I've seen many videos that say that CPUs of your generation are still good for most games but are showing their age in others. It really depends on what you play. Strategy games tend to need the beefiest CPUs.

My gut tells me that you'd probably be okay with a 1070 and that a 1080 might be overkill, especially given the other aging components of your system. A 1070 probably won't draw much more power than your 970. It really depends on the games you play and the resolution you're gaming at. Anything less than a 1070 doesn't seem worth doing.

For a broader range of opinion and access to real experts, you may want to post on reddit at buildapc. You'll need to tell them exactly what components your computer has and its os (I think they have a template you can use), what games you intend to play, and what resolution you intend to game at. They'd be able to settle the three questions I've talked about better than I can. Good luck.

@artisanbreads: They screwed the squadsight build a little (a lot?) by not choosing gunslinger. So crucial against floaters.
