2. On this level you have a handy med-bay where you start the game. You can come back to it as many times as you need and completely replenish your health. Though it's good to get used to using various health items.
3. SS1 was level-based, but you could (and actually had to) move freely between levels using elevators.
Otherwise, good and factually correct quick look.
I've recently played the Enhanced Edition of the original SS (mouse look!!!) as preparation for this. I'd recommend playing that wholeheartedly, though the remake seems so faithful that it probably is a better choice.
I don't think I'd heard about Powerslave before Digital Foundry made the videos about the original and the remake. Well, that's not entirely true, I did remember the look of the Anubis enemies from a screenshot in a Polish game magazine, but that's it.
Anyway, I played the remake about a month ago and it's really REALLY good. One of my best gaming surprises of recent years.
Just one thing to note, the player's hitbox is insanely large. You basically get hit by projectiles up to the edge of your view frame. There is a mod for it, but I'm not actually sure if it worked or I simply got used to the more extreme avoidance moves you have to make.
@janman literally 15 minutes outside a day is enough to produce (yes, produce... in our skin cells) enough vitamin D to not be deficient. It doesn't have to be particularily sunny and you don't have to be naked.
