High Voltage seems like a great developer. Despite they're old track record of shovelware, they're really putting effort into this game, and they have an attitude that pretty much every other Wii developer needs.
Plus, the inclusion of 16 player multiplayer with voice chat is also a plus. Wonder if they'll find their own way around Friend Codes too. Maye The Conduit, along with Call of Duty: World at War on the Wii will finally start to bring more FPS games to the Wii. FPS controls have already proven themselves on the Wii with Metroid Prime 3 and Medal of Honor Heroes: 2, and they really need to take advantage of this.
The Conduit
Game » consists of 4 releases. Released Jun 23, 2009
The Conduit is a futuristic first-person shooter developed by High Voltage Software exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. The game makes use of High Voltage Software's proprietary, Wii-specific Quantum3 game engine.
Anybody really anticipating The Conduit?
I am highly anticipating this game as well. From the videos I've seen, the Conduit has the best FPS controls on the Wii, which is alone enough to at least have a mild interest in. The graphics are acceptable for the Wii and appear to be improving with every showing. My biggest concern is the level design and AI, two of three important things for a shooter. They've already got controls solidified, now they just need to have that same quality with those two aspects.
I usually don't play FPS. I like MP3 and Halo 3. I am looking forward to the Conduit because it appears that High Voltage is trying to make the Conduit similar to those to games.
I agree with you DE5, that they are aproaching this game with an attitude that all the other developers need to have when making a game for the Wii. It's great to see this with an original game that's made just for the Wii. I cant wait for this game, it looks great, I really really wanna play it.

ya i think we can all agree with that.

well it'll keep me from selling my Wii. can only go so far with mario, metroid, zelda, and smash bros.
So how'd this game turn out? It looked good. I even have a Wii Zapper, but I didn't buy The Conduit.
Aw, busted again! I'm sorry. I should've contributed to the "What's Your Blood Type Personality?" thread instead.
There are other reviews that nail a lot of the stuff better than Jeff's review did.
