I think it matters to a certain extent, different clothes can be really flattering to a girls figure, or just look really awful, obviously if she's hot se's hot, but there are ways of showing shit off and emphasising your physical assets. Not to mention that clothes are an extension of your personality, they represent how we want the worls to view us, so you can often tell quite a lot about what kind of girl she is, and how much you may get on with her from her clothes (obviously this shouldn't be your only way of making judgemenets about people's character though).
