Now that the game has been out for a day, I was wondering if someone in particular dies, and I'm talking about Rico here. Does Rico die? 
 
I know, a weird question, but definitely warranted when his AI can't figure out how to shoot the final boss in Killzone 2 or take cover from him. Until he finally gets up close to the guy does he actually do (massive) damage to him.

If he does die, I will be very happy to pick up a copy of this game to at least see him die, and if I myself have to kill him, I'll probably have to buy two copies.

He doesn't. They treat him like shit at the opening which is funny but they take the let's improve his personality and have him grow on you approach. Lame, yes....oh well.

I hear ya. I hated Rico in KZ2, but in KZ3 he's actually a ton more likeable and useful. He revives and saves me, instead of just laying on the ground yelling for heals! They toned down his super macho swear factory mouth too, he's a human being in KZ3.

Yeah, he doesn't die. I swore I was going to buy this game if he did. I guess there's always next time. *sigh*

they kinda try to make him into a hero at the end..saving the day.  I found him rather annoying still because all he does is b*tch back and forth with Narville.  And his little woman sidekick was rather annoying as well.

They try to improve his character and make him more likable but it turns out to be a misrable failure like most of Killzone 3's story.  I hope the next killzone has a better story because guerilla can make well written characters but they always just kill them off.
