E3 2010: Games I want to know more about.

Well, since E3 2010 is here, we're going to learn a whole lot more about a whole lot of games. These are the games that I'm pretty interested in.

List items

  • NFS: Most Wanted was really fun for me, mostly because of the cop chases. Criterion is known to be a good developer, so I hope they can make a great game using one of my favorite mechanics.

  • The first Infamous was really fun, but it still had some problems. If Sucker Punches fixes that stuff, as well as putting the ice powers to good use, I'll definitely play this game. For now, I'm interested in what they do with the ice powers.

  • Wasn't very interested in it at first, but after seeing it in action at the Sony press conference, it seems pretty cool. However, Sony needs to show me some new software before I take the $100 plunge.

  • 3D on a handheld is the only way I'd ever be able to afford, and Nintendo's glasses-free technology seems like the perfect way for me to enter the third-dimension. I have my faith in Nintendo that it won't be another Virtual Boy, and they're showing a lot of games that I might buy for it. As long as it isn't too expensive (over $200 will be a pretty hard buy for me), I'll definitely be looking out for this.

  • The first Portal was really awesome. Yeah, a little short too, but whatever. I want to see the new mechanics that Valve puts in to hopefully make this a longer experience. Plus, now that Valve's being friendly with the PS3, it's easier for me to play on whichever platform I feel like.

  • I thought the idea's of the first Little Big Planet were excellent. The game fell a little flat for me, though, because platforming got boring pretty quickly. I'm not a fan of the creating side of things, so I never made a serious attempt to make a level. Hopefully adding more variety to the game will make it longer lasting.
