Well here's my first blog on this site.
Recently I found an article on the net about the Developer of the new Devil May Cry game. If this article has already been posted on this site I apologize. But here is a link if you have not read it yet.

The article just gave me a sense that this guy has very little concern for the origins of the franchise and doesn't want to build off of the existing story. Maybe the game will be good we don't know yet. But the more I read and see about it the less I hope I have.

It's a reboot.

With the debut of the new DmC just over a week ago, gamers and journalists have been clamouring to get an insight into the minds of Ninja Theory in order to better understand the reasoning behind the radical new revamp to the Devil May Cry series.

Creative Director of Ninja Theory, Tameem Antoniades had this to say:

“The essence of Devil May Cry is all about ‘cool. It’s about Dante being cool and making you feel cool when you’re playing it, and so the combat and the style system and everything is integral to that. But, you know, what was cool 12 years ago — I think that was when the first game came out — isn’t cool anymore. If Dante, dressed as he was, walked into any bar outside of Tokyo, he’d get laughed out. What Devil May Cry did when it launched was it brought everything that was great about action cinema like the fashion, music — it was like a cultural melting pot — and I feel like now, for Devil May Cry to have that same impact, it needs to draw on new things. New music, new ways of cinematography, new fashion.”

These idiots focus too much on "fashion" and try too damn hard to look cool.

Ninja theory, they can't even make a game that has more than 30 framerates if you played enslave and they are full of themselves. They are the like the most incompentent developer around, depending on more presentation than actual gameplay. I wouldn't be surprised if the game was full of cheezy gameplay mechanics we seen from them in the past. The game won't be more than 84% on gamerankings. On top of that, how dare they take the ninja theorie's present head and paste it on dante, then saying it was a coincidence, yeah right. Down with ninja theory, they shouldn't be given more projects, rather they shouldn't be making videogames anymore.

No....what about the people who did not buy L4D2 because it came to soon? Or the MW2 people? There are lots of stupid reasons not to buy a game. And mine is by far not the worst.  "

And I also get that the original creator said similar things about the franchise when he first created it. But this simply correlation doesn't equal "oh hes just doing the same thing."   Actually the origianl creator has been somewhat vocal about his dismay to what he has seen in the production line for the new game so far so that's a good indicator for you. The big difference is that when the original concept was created there wasn't an original world to work off of. Now there is a world that the fans enjoyed and want to return to in a game. If they wanted to make a emo demon hunter that has no relation to the original daunte go ahead and make that game, but do you really have to call it devil may cry?

It's gonna suck just like all of Ninja Theory's other games. If you want a true successor to DMC, buy Bayonetta and it's upcoming sequel (and Vanquish to keep the studio afloat). It's made by the original creator of DMC, and everything about the game just seems like an evolution of the DMC formula.

" @SethPhotopoulos   You forgot King Fu Chaos - 68 on Metacritic Heavenly Sword was a 4-hour-long game with absolutely terrible motion controls and piss-poor combat. Don't even get me started on the QTE's  Based on the demo, Enslaved has shitty controls and an even shittier camera. Climbing parts are laughable and I wanna punch Monkey every time I hear Andy Serkis' voice come out of his mouth. Whoever thought that he makes a good hero should be hanged and have his nipples cut out.  Also, guess who's voice you hear in the DMC trailer... -___- "

Of course it's my opinion... which makes it bad to me... which is why I said it was bad... and now we're back to square one.

I like the new look, it's refreshing.  He's gaunt, but not effeminate. His look is highly contemporary and has been used relatively infrequently for gaming protagonists. It's different, it's interesting, it's interesting because it's different.

Uh... I did not stare (or state) anything as a fact. If I did, I would have put "Fact!" at the end.  

Now if it really bothers you that much to see someone state their oppinion without an abvious and implied "imo" I have a tissue you can borrow.
