They are doing pretty great now! The only thing that I can see going badly is that they can't buy enough upgraded weapons/armor because of their lack of alloys, and getting alloys will be hard because of their lack of upgraded fighters. Still, they are doing way better than i expected.
Something I was thinking about: They are probably going to get destroyed on the XCOM base defense mission that is new in enemy within. That mission is a direct game over if you lose it, however you get the option to redo the mission (even on iron man mode). Will that be considered the end of the series if it happens or are they allowed to make use of the redo option in this particular case?
Yeah I just got up to that mission the other day and boy is it a nightmare! I wouldn't blame them if they restarted despite Iron Man mode, I sure as hell did. I'm also very excited to see the Newfoundland mission.
Boy the team really should have some upgraded armour by this point.
It's a weird thing since iron man mode in the game actually does allow you to restart the mission, so if they are following the games definition of iron man mode then a restart would be allowed. On the other hand it is a game over.

Wonder how bad the next episode will be with Abby having to tackle the terror mission...........If she has a bad run and loses all the high level soldiers I can very easily see that being the end of the run.
I don't really get the anger about Dan changing langzone into himself. Abby can just change it back immediately next episode and then make some scrub newbie that sucks ass Dan. Can and totally should. Do it Abby!
Abby played pretty well but the sad truth is that they are behind the curve in pretty much all layers (soldier ranks, money, equipment, not being able to buy squad size increases) and it will be very hard to get back into a good position. They would need near perfect play and some luck, so this is probably now just a struggle against a current that is too strong and the only question is when they will be swept away and not if. Still fun to watch though, so I hope it will not end too quickly.
I want to redo my prediction that they would lose when reaching the attack on the x-com base defense mission.
I now predict they will not even make it to this mission. In my defense, previous prediction didn't take a squadmember actively sabotaging this play through into account.
I see no way they are ever going to finish this :) There is just to much time between playing and having to rely on vinny to explain all the choices of the previous players will go wrong. Still, it will be a great train wreck to watch!
