Being a GameStop manager, I personally have never not told a customer about the online pass or extra content. I can understand this completely though. With used game sales being a big part of the video game community, it sucks when you buy a game, and then find out that you need an online pass or something else to access content that is packaged in a new game. Curious to see when this will become a nation wide deal...or when it will hit here in Texas.

I've been on vacation for a few days, and I haven't checked the site like I've wanted to. So imagine my surprise when I load up tested.com and see the two Mythbuster guys plastered up on the site. Don't they have their own site for this stuff? I sadly see Tested becomming something along the lines of Anime Vice. It's truly sad. New site name, www.therealtested.com Who is up for that?

No matte what, you'll never make everyone happy. Most people that are ranting bought a different version of the game. The ones who did buy PC probably dind't care/know or use the OnLive pass. I called all my customers today that bought the PC version to let them know about the bonus, and all of them said the same thing "I didn't really care either way, but I'll take the free 50$ gift card"

What people dont realize is that GameStop opens games all the time...puts them on display and sells an opened copy as "new" because in all sense it is new..nobody has played it. So you dont get to cut the plastic...big deal

This is no different than GameStop putting a display copy up and selling it as "new"

I can smell the trolls....GameStop as well as any other retailer have the right to specify what contents are in the box. Thats exactly how pre-order bonuses work.

Its not any single person's content until they buy it, regardless of being pre packaged or not. Square Enix apalogized to GameStop for this misunderstanding, and is now telling you to go buy the game from them. If you want to walk out of GameStop, feel free to...you're choice. But for those upset at this at this...SE basically told you they screwed up...not GameStop. Enjoy

This is what bugs me....people are ripping into GameStop for doing this, but what if it was Best Buy, or Target, Fry's or any other retailer? Don't give me that "They wouldn't do it" because unles you're corperate office for any of those companies...you won't know. Yeah, it's stupid they did it, but if you were in their shoes, would you want to hand business to a competitor? Imagine McDonalds saying "Here, buy a Big Mac and we'll throw in a coupon for a free Whopper from Burger King".
