I still don’t believe anyone actually thinks the story of marvel’s avengers is good. All those characterizations are just so bland and the story is a big wet fart.
Excited for everything shown. 2023 isn’t a problem because its not like there aren’t always way too many games out as it is. I dont mind more marvel because we havent had any good games outside the insomniac ones…and no marvels avengers didnt have a good story mode.
@eccentrix: They have done this a couple of time. I know a couple of quick looks have come out of UPFs or other larger shows before. With how everything is remote the difference between a Bombcast, UPF, etc are thin to me these days. I definitely agree it could have been done better for a full video release...maybe have Jeff B state, "Hey, this is an unfinished that was done during the most recent x".
@mezza: The stuff regarding the source material is on me (and honestly I've not seen many people who have actually played even admit to reading the books). I just found it funny that on the Bombcast (which is what I was referencing) I didn't really hear him say anything actually positive about the game but him say he didn't think the game was that bad.
Jeff's comments about this game legitimately baffles me. He started off saying something along the lines of, "I was surprised how harsh the reviews were" but then pretty spent the entire bit not saying once positive thing about it. They don't even bother to get the tone of the source material correct...they even make Drizz't a...rogue? This game never looked good to me, especially the marketing (and its cavalcade of C list celebrities), but it frustrating to see that not only is the game itself bad but its also rotten with bugs, glitches, and seemingly incomplete combat. The fact your ranged "class" is starved for stamina 99.9% of the time but you can't even do your ranged special moves from elevation.
I am astounded how bland and minimal the Halo content was, both single player and multiplayer.
I don't think Halo is sluggish its just different. I'm of the mind that FPS games are generally getting too fast. Call of Duty movement is so fast + the maps being so small means since BLOPS2 the spawning situation has almost consistently been a total nightmare.
I am not invested in the new generation of Xbox but I do PC game. I hope they pull off a great Halo game as the last one I actually enjoyed was Halo: Reach. Maybe they will reverse how much they nerfed melee in the series :D I don't have much positive to say about 343i with Halo...I found the story stuff even more poor than what came before H4, the designs have gotten worse, the new enemies are poor or the same from pre-H4, and the multiplayer has decided to be influenced by COD and other shooters opposed to marking out their own niche.
