Lots of love to Dan and good luck in the future.

Your stories, your personality and sometimes blissful ignorance has made me laugh, made me cry and sometimes made me laugh so much it made me cry ..what else can you ask for? =)

Good luck, you will be missed!

What systems are you planning to stream from? The PS4 in-built streaming service is pretty solid - you should be fine just using that for the majority of games.

If you really want the added versatility of hooking it up to a PC, both the AverMedia Live Gamer HD and LiveGamer Extreme are solid choices (the former uses PCIe so you need to plug it into your motherboard, the latter requires USB3.0 with specific chipsets so check that). I've heard good things about the Elgato HD60 Pro as well, so that'd probably do you okay too.

Thanks for your post y2ken!

I've tried the built in streaming part of PS4 and is simply not satisfied with how it worked, I also would love to stream other systems like Wii U, Switch, Xbox one, plus the fact I already have everything right here by my PC so I figured why not =)
OBS also offers a ton options for making the stream look really good, like letting me include music and actually show what track it is, move where my face is shown in the picture, the list is very long as you probably know already but I sort of feel an itch for trying these things =)
Live Gamer HD seems to be on it's way out, they have made a new one that's called Live Gamer HD 2, but I can't even find it in stores, sounds pretty awesome though, check here: http://www.avermedia.com/gaming/product/game_capture/live_gamer_hd_2.

@bassman2112:

So a new graphics card and I should be up to snuff to use the HD 60 Pro with not much problems?
8 GB of RAM should be plenty, could always find some cheap upgrades though I bet =)

So far the Elgato Game Capture HD 60 Pro looks awesome for the price and has some good arguments from some Youtubers but who knows what they got told to say that so I'd value your opinion!

What capture card do you use? Would you recommend it for my venture into Twitching?

I personally use the HD 60 Pro, and I love it! I don't just use it for gaming, I also capture 1080p 60 FPS PC content for a site I run, and it works perfectly. My good friend also has one, and he uses it as a way to play PS4/XBone games on his PC Monitor with full 1080p 60 FPS without needing to plug it into a TV hahaha.

Overall, I recommend the HD 60 Pro, as I recognize that my issues are probably related to the PC I use it in. I think if you have a relatively decent/modern PC, it is a great option.

Thanks for that awesome answer man.

Btw I'm watching OBS's Tutorial material on Youtube as we speak, feels like something for me and will be a great help when setting things up =)

I plan on capturing at 1080p60 and streaming at 720p60 (mostly to let everyone be able to watch source quality, my internet could easily handle 1080p60 at 3500kbs but I want as many as possible to be able to watch so 720p60 to start with, we are talking Twitch now obviously).

You mentioned your hardware not being up to the task, what do you use?

I have i7-3770 3,4 GHz with 8 GB DDR3 an Intel SSD and an obsolete GTX 660 that I'm planning to scrap anyway for something better.

Btw, I'm planning on streaming Console only so my graphics card might not be such a big issue or am I wrong?

Thanks for the feedback and hope you're up for giving me some answers to this as well =)

Hey guys!

Don't get me wrong here, I know the Twitch train has left and gone, no money to make on that stuff, I'm just at this to have a bit of fun! =)

So with that out of the way I'm still looking for a pretty good card to get me going, I want no fuss, no worries and good performance for my buck.

Let me know!

Thanks in advance.

Ads are so useless in today's world if you ask me, let me tell you why.

I'm a consumer, I buy things, food and pay my rent for the money my job earns me every month, so I should be able to influence with ads...but the problem is that I'm really not.
See I got more than shit for brains and so does most people! I choose what I want to buy, with care and no ad in this world could ever change that or make me buy something I don't want or need, the companies or products that has a tendency to do lots of ads and promotions are those that don't interest my one bit! And why? Because nobody obviously buys their shit!
You never see promotions or ads such as "Buy Horizon Zero Dawn for 40 bucks day one, free international shipping, at your door on release-day guaranteed!"
Now boys and girls, that's and ad and promotion that would have some effect on me...but do we see them? No, never.

Ads would have but one function for me these days and that is if it's about something I didn't know existed, period.
Like my sister didn't know the Switch was coming, she called me the first ad she saw and was bonkers about it because she loves Nintendo and nothing else about gaming so figure she doesn't stay up to snuff like me but that ad excited her and I guess I would feel the same if I was her. But to be honest she was already hungry for more Nintendo, it wasn't the ad that made it happen, an independent news article that stated the fact would have had the same effect.

So my opinion is as I've stated, generally the only ones who needs to promote or make ads are the ones who are afraid that people won't buy their shit, because they know that's what they are selling, shit.
The only games on sale on PSN and such are mostly EA or Ubisoft games, how come...hmmm...I wonder...some of them are good but I see a pattern, when some other good games from other studios almost never are among the offers.

I seem to recall the guys talking about needing our opinion on what kind of ads we would be interest in hearing on the show and seeing on the site so it gives us something, I'd say make it game-related and make it international so I can use the promotion if it ever was attractive, I consider Giant bomb an international brand if anything, European game-coverage is a joke to say the least, I think the guys should acknowledge and give us across the sea a bone as well.

Peace out!
And yeah, I use and ad-block to stop promotions about soup, how I can buy whatever I want on credit (to an interest that in itself should be illegal and even more illegal to promote as a product) or saving for my pension when I try to watch AngryJoe review a game, because it just feels wrong to cut him of with such bullshit, I consider it to honor him and his effort, not robbing him of the money.

Hey guys!

Ran into sort of a bummer problem today. I was collecting the Zelda memories and all of a sudden, when one of the cut-scenes start I realize that the voice-over is gone, I think to myself, well that's strange but it happens sometimes in a lot of games through history so bummer for me, I missed the voice-over on that one (Background music and effects worked perfectly, only the voice-over was missing).

After this one I got kind off bummed out about collecting the memories so I figured I'd push the story along a bit...to my great terror the first cut-scene I get to...no voice-over again =(

Now I've missed out of 5 of these in a row, I've quit out of the game and started up again, I shut down the Wii U, powered up and started up again, still the same problem.

The question is, do I have a bad disc? Can a re-install help? Does the re-install delete my current progress?

Anyone who has knows anything about this I'd be ever so thankful for your input or advice!
