I would say ME3 exemplifies both the very best and worst the trilogy had to offer. There's some deeply beautiful, human moments in the game, but it's interspersed with some utter nonsense. Nonsense like Kai Leng, like Cerberus constantly hijacking the plot and sucking up a lot of oxygen that should have spent on the Reapers, and the Reapers themselves being reduced to a half-baked solution to a convoluted problem (one you yourself solve earlier in the game). Those good parts, though, they really sang to me.
I happened to find a clip of this quick look on one of the very old Best of Giant Bomb compilations, and was so intrigued I decided to buy the game and its sequel. I am very happy that I did, because I enjoyed both games thoroughly. They were a little rough around the edges technically speaking, but their stories, characters, and puzzles rank near the top of my all time favorite adventure games. Kind of amazing that an 8 year old quick look would set me off on that journey, but that's Giant Bomb for you.
@nach0sanchez: As someone who lives adjacent to and works in DC, I agree with Ben. I don't really get the fascination with DC as a setting for high octane shooters. I love this city, but it's pretty bland visually; 90% of it is row houses, and the rest is the national mall, our other small city parks, and some large federal or municipal buildings. It's a small city, mostly flat, and lacks the verticality and scale of major metropolises like New York, LA, Boston, and Chicago.
