To make a long story short, Guides are really good and can help gamers complete games and get all trophies or achievements (depending on if you're playing Xbox or PS3) to get 100%. However, if you have pre-ordered the guide and the game for Batman Arkham City there is some important information giving in the product details.

According to this, the game will feature four episodes where players can control Catwoman via downloadable content. That sounds really cool if you are a Catwoman fan. visit the source, neither Rocksteady nor WB Games have confirmed nor denied that Catwoman will be featured as having four episodes which she will be a playable character. So you going to pick up the guide and find the details or what?

I dunno, i'm excited for this game and will buy it day 1, but for some reason I couldn't care less about knowing anything about it.. I just know it's gonna be great when it comes out.

Normally DLC plans and pre-order bonuses don't turn me off, I understand people are running businesses, but this game is pushing it - already 4 planned DLCs (a month or two prior to release, if announced after it's gone gold at least we can lie to ourselves that it's not on the disc) and 6 or 7 pre-order bonuses. I loved the first game so much I was ready to buy the CE, now I'm content to wait for the GOTY and save myself a shitton of money.

Catwoman is in the central game, who you play as. In fact as far as I understand it, the opening segment of the game starts with you as catwoman. You probably have a few segments of gameplay in addition, making up under 10 percent of the game. This DLC package is likely an expansion showing what she was doing congruent to Batman in Arkham City.

12 side missions sound about right. The game is supposed to be a fairly linear affair, not an open world rpg.

Yea, and that's the problem - most DLC, even Day 1 DLC isn't leaked/announced/outed until the game has at least gone gold. They get to use the excuse that the code has shipped, and is being printed and thus the new stuff can't be on the disc, like I said initially, at least I can lie to myself that I'm not being nickel and dimmed. Now if Arkam City has in fact gone gold, I will withdraw all of my comments and concede - but I haven't seen that particular announcement yet.

Again I want to emphasize that I'm not one of those 'OMG DLC FUUUUU' kind of guys - most the time I'm more than happy to throw down my 5, 7, or 10 bucks for DLC the day it comes out, for some games I even stay up for the Marketplace update to get it ASAP! But again, I feel like this is getting excessive, if they're gonna go this route I expect to hear about goddamn Batman Season Pass next - which would be ok, I like the Season Pass model of DLC, it saves me money on stuff I know I will buy down the line, and it actually feels a little bit like a reward for being a real costumer.
