I just went through it again and this time saved the replay. So...if you like, you can add me as your friend (SILIK-Fi) and see how I did it. I think you should be able to download it from my profile...or atleast I hope so.
It's not the prettiest two laps, few mistakes here and there. On the first lap I messed up in the Chicago and on the both laps in second to last corner it came really close for disqualification. Also I did win with something like 0,012 seconds to spare :D. All the settings in the car was as it were, none has been changed. ABS 1 and Traction Control I think was on 5.
You need to drive it like you drove the go-carts. Steer gently and more power means more grip. Elise is, like you said fairly light car, actually it's really light. So you need to have some speed to get the downforce for the rear. If you have some troubles with the race, maybe you should try to stay behind for a few seconds, so that you can drive a lap without worrying about the other drivers. Learn the feel of the car. Once you get used to it, Elise is amazing car, which goes around the track like on rails.
Good thing in turned out this way. When I was listening the "Let's talk about membership"-podcast, at the beginning I was thinking that, yeah, I'll definetly subscribe. Just to show my support to the site. But when the news came up that they're cutting down bombcast and there's a waiting period, I kinda felt that it became necessity. And by so they took away all of my good will. If you know what I mean. But maybe now I can subscibe and again feel good about it.
@TomA: Well, that's why it's called expanded universe. There is probably 100 or more Star Wars books, which most of them are accepted as a piece of the mythology. And as far as I recall Starkiller was the original name for Luke Skywalker.
You should check out http://www.good-tutorials.com/tutorials/photoshop . There's lots of great tutorials for photoshop. Whether it's just basics or something amazing like creating your own planets :).
Firing a gun in space is possible, but it would be extremely stupid. As the Newton's law of motion will apply. Meaning that every action has an reaction. And firing the gun would mean that you would be escaping the opposite direction than the bullet, because the expanding gases would affect both the bullet and yourself. And how do I know? Because I've tried...well no...I just read about it not week ago from a Finnish Science magazine...how boring is that?
I bet you can google Edward White, astronaut who used a special flair gun to control his movement during his space walk.
