I dont know what it is about the original age of empires but it still looks really good, considering its age. Going back too any other old games and its like. Dude. how did this ever EVER look good? but with Aoe everything still looks neat and tidy.  The soundtrack is still awesome, along with the random in game sounds (anyone else tried to make a song out of clicking on houses? hmm ..guess its just me then). Anyways I just wanted to give a big hurray for good old age of empires for still looking and playing awesome. Hurray!

Dont think you can count it as a horror game. Sure it has piles of blood and guts but..there aren't really any scary points ( well maybe if you are  a small child >.<).
