Really hope the audio versions will continue going forward. I'm more likely to consume stuff from Giant Bomb when I can do so through my ears. ... Which are, I guess, terrifying demon ears capable of eating websites.
@hatking: That's definitely what Natsume counts on, and it's understandable, I legitimately can't think of another franchise where this has happened - even Rune Factory got to keep the name despite dropping the "A Fantasy Harvest Moon" subtitle. Whatever specific copyright law is being applied is subtle.
I really appreciate Vinny's disclaimer explanation being up front; while I'm a big enough Story of Seasons and Rune Factory fan to be in the know, it really frustrates and saddens me that people are still being tricked into thinking these rotten cash-ins are the heirs of the franchise they grew up with. Every little bit to get the word out helps.
Surprised this year of all years accidentally wound up being the Ron Funches and Jason's revenge arc, even considering in a lot of ways it was the Year of Navarro, but I welcome it.
Really liked the format of the first culling being a separate podcast. Made this a lot tighter feeling than it is some years, plus I think getting to do it from home kept everyone in a good mood even when the 11th place cut could have potentially gotten really ugly.
Any idea why this isn't in my premium bombcast feed? Was hoping to listen through work today!
I think there's a glitch, it seems to be in the regular audio feed but not in the premium one. Definitely frustrating but I just temporarily subscribed to the regular feed until it gets sorted.
It's crazy how many of these lists are tied into specific emotional memories for me. The contrast of nostalgic reminiscence for my first live GotY podcasts versus the terrible quality of the actual list for 2014 (Brad being shocked about Destiny considering how it got on there in the first place was some amusing closure, at least). The agony of the Mario Maker win. The joy-filled relief when Hitman took it over Doom. The frustration with how fractured the 2017 list was. Lots of great times arguing about video games.
Edit: While I'm not familiar with Rogue outside of these two episodes, there is absolutely no advantage to equipping a lower armor class Armor on floors well before the As even show up, and even when they do it seems like it would be more about trade-off and opportunity cost.

Yeah, you're right, I worded that way too strongly. It just seemed like the switch to leather armor did not help the situation at all and Ben's reasoning for doing so didn't track.
