The Current Family Line-Up

Just the game consoles in the collection right now, in a very loose chronological order. I guess you can't link to the exact model, so please rely on your imagination. I have tried to mention where cases where the model differs. Handhelds are not on this list, but there are a bunch of those too. Aside from the Neo Geo, arcade boards are also not listed.

List items

  • The original wired Family Computer, as fresh as it was in 1983 (mostly).

  • The old grey box.

  • A Japanese Core Grafx I.

  • The incredibly sexy Model 1 Genesis. It's too bad I honestly end up admiring its good looks more than I actually play it.

  • I collect the arcade versions of the Neo Geo games. When I started Neo collecting I learned that with the arcade versions, you have to watch out for bootlegs. With the home versions, you pay exorbitant prices for the games you want to play and you still have to watch out for bootlegs. I decided to collect the arcade versions. I have about five arcade motherboards (the guts of the machine, not the machine itself), which are all of varying sizes and shapes, but all do about the same thing. I think I may need help.

  • A Japanese Duo-R.

As a side note, I once had a US TurboGrafx and the CD attachment, such as the one pictured, and the large slide projector sized carrying case that it came in.

  • Just like the picture shows, a Super Famicom.

  • The smaller, sleeker second version released (US).

  • I don't have too much to say here. It's not a PSOne.

  • Poor old Dreamcast. Not only does it forever think it's 1999, it's been modified with a multi-region switch, so it must be pretty confused.

    Nickname: "Grandpa"

  • I have my first PS2, which rarely works, and a second unit to replace it, which rarely doesn't. Thankfully the first unit lasted quite a while before the original laser finally gave up the ghost.

  • A gorgeous Japanese slim model, dressed in handsome white (the white PS2 was eventually brought Stateside as a Singstar exclusive bundle. That stung a little bit).

  • Straight up slim Xbox 360. Fairly recent addition. Playing a lot of Dark Souls.
