If you need the DLC in order for it to be a complete experience; then the developers have failed in my opinion. Unfortunately; it seems like a lot of recent game DLC has been more than just optional side stuff that isn't integral to the overall experience.
Who cares? If you like a game it is a good game. You don't have to defend your love of Halo, and you don't need to hate on people for enjoying Call of Duty. So long as you enjoy the games you are playing, that's all that really matters.
Have to agree with this. What happened to people just playing games they enjoyed for fun? Who cares how many Call of Duty games they make? Never understood why people are so worried about what other people are playing.
It's easy to play older games that are in 2D, the polygonal games of the past are the hardest to go back to.
Agree with this. I just can't bring myself to play games on the N64 and PS1 for longer than 15 minutes before my eyes start to bleed. The very early 3D stuff I find is extremely difficult to go back to now. 2D is timeless though.
I'll personally be waiting for the demo before making any purchasing decisions. Not expecting much as shooters really aren't my cup of tea anyway; but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.
It's not as important as it once was obviously, but still very nice to have. Plenty of modern games benefit greatly from local multiplayer. I probably would've never played Gears of War 2 if it didn't have split screen coop for example.
You know it's a great press conference when you feel embarrassed and extremely uncomfortable as a spectator. Here's hoping this years conference will be even more awkward!
