I was looking through the forums and realized I haven't posted my top games ever list... I had a pretty easy time of it considering I've been playing video games since I was 4. Starting with the GameBoy and then the normal progression from NES and PC -> SNES -> N64 -> Gamecube -> PS2 -> XBox 360 and Wii -> PS4 and PC all over again. So here they are, my most favorite game in count down format.

Final Fantasy (NES) - This is one of the first games that I have ever played and it got me hooked to RPGs forever. I loved how you were first charged to save a kingdom then to run out a group of pirates from a town to later going into the pits of hell to get rid of the fire demons. It was such an amazing story it has always stuck with me. I played it a month ago on the NES and it still holds up to this day as one of my favorite games ever.

Uprising: Join or Die (PC) - This game got me into PC gaming. I can't even begin to explain this game, it was the greatest idea and execution of a game I've ever played. You were a tank and you were the front lines. When you called in bombers and they said, "ETA 1 minute" you had to hold the line and pray they got there unharmed. It was so satisfying when you planted your flag, drove off and heard the marvelous words of, "Citadel Online" That's when you know it was time to blow crap up. You could get reinforcements and the only way you won was total annihilation or your bases were compromised. I wish I could get it to work on current PCs but as of now, I'll stick to watching the trailer on Youtube... seriously, go watch it and, "Roger that, let'em suck on this!"

Command and Conquer (PC) - RTS games have never been my strong point but one with story and a reason to hate or love Cain was a treat to behold. From clicking on the different units and telling them to go to their death or victory was so awesome. "I've got a present for ya" was one of my favorite lines I used to yell when I threw the ball to home plate and I knew I was going to get an out. People looked at me funny but deep down it made me laugh so hard because they hadn't found this gem of a game.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - When I saw that Link's dad left to go see what was the matter, I knew I was in for a treat and boy did I get one. There isn't much to explain with this game other than the puzzles are pretty good. I did over 5 100% play throughs and kept going back for more. I remember I completing this game in one 18 hour sitting on a Saturday when my parents left for a business trip. So many special memories still exist today with this game.

Fallout 3 (PC) - To the opening of the vault all the way to the end game I was awe struck by how much there was to do in this fantastic wasteland of our capitol. I remember going on a trip to DC when I was younger and recalling those memories of how the buildings actually looked to how they now lay in a state of ruin. It was simply beautiful. This game was a big change for me because no matter what you did, it wasn't wrong. It just went down as another event that occurred and the wasteland had to accept that and move on. Sure there were moral consequences but overall, the choices felt real and it was as if you yourself made them and what you chose was right.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) - Not much I can say bad about this game, it opened up my eyes to 3D worlds in ways I had no clue it could. I thought that I would see Zelda either flat or vertical but never in XYZ axis. The movement through the bushes, the sound of the wind blowing through the ears and the satisfying smash when you equipped the iron boots. I will always remember this game to be not only video games growing up but myself as well.

Red Dead Redemption (X Box 360) - This is the first time I've ever felt for the main character. I cared for John as I did for my own family members. Trying to do good after a life of regrets. His motto is one that I share even to this day. I will do whatever is necessary for my family and friends no matter the outcome. After becoming a father myself, the last part of the game leading up to the barn is what I want for my son and I to have. That is to teach everything that I know and pass it on to him. My father did that with me so it's only fair that I do the same. This was truly a life changing game that showed that the little things mattered in life and don't have regrets. This is my favorite game.
