eSports has been a side show for a long time. I think there is potential for it to become more popular. What is funny is that the sleazier the company that tries to get eSports big, the better they will do. Activision is absolutely perfect for getting something like this off the ground. I don't quite know what form it will take, but it will be interesting to watch it either burn to the ground or become something that may be enjoyable to view.
A level editor for a 30 year old game wins GOTY 2015. JKing. I couldn't get into Mario Maker and I think the bombcrew is in a very unique situation to enjoy it so much that it becomes GOTY. They have access to a large fan base that will play their levels and can enjoy putting out levels for people to play. The average person may go back and forth with a few friends, but it doesn't hold a candle to the excitement of being an exhibitionist on a large scale.
