The whole PS5 launch has been a freaking nightmare here in Germany. It's like Sony (and the online stores) are actively trying to sell to scalpers.

I get it, COVID and all that, but the pandemic can't be an excuse for this. This whole situation is just FOMO to the max and its pretty disgusting.

I own most of the games in the PS Plus Collection and have pretty much zero interest in Bugsnax, but still, it would be nice to be able to obtain these things as a PS+ member. It would be nice to be able to get the console at all.

Play Arkham Asylum! I think it still holds up and it was one of the best games of its time.

Sure it was the disc drive? Coil whine is pretty common on the PC, at least with graphics cards. Mine whines like crazy if I'm in a game that does not cap the framerate for menu-stuff. As far as I can tell, it's annoying, but does not necessarily signify any damaged parts.

So your issue could be something like that, but in your case it seems to whine as soon as there is any load on the gpu.

But hey, if it solved itself and it does not return, good for you. I'm still trying to get a PS5, but due to the hillarious preorder situation and bots buying everything, I guess I'll wait.

Man, some of the responses in this thread.

Xenophobia? Temper responses?

This is really worrying. In a few years time the Chinese government will basically get away with anything they want, because people will be labeled xenophobes for speaking up.

I guess it's not worth it over some anime-Zelda-clone, but come on.

The more I think about this, the weirder it all seems.

The timing of this announcement HAS to be aimed at Sony, who just had a few surprise announcements themselves - and it seems also aimed at the Series X/S preorders, that are supposedly starting.

I don't think throwing money out to get exclusive games is a good thing for gamers. Sony are doing it with FFXVI and a bunch of other games, so they are also to blame.

I can't help but think that this money would have been better spent on actual new games and not this. The worst part is that some of the horrible people who seem to run Bethesda get paid now - and some of them might even stay on board?

So.. we can look forward to more Commander Keen Mobile and Elder Scrolls Blades? I sure hope not.

I'm a big fan of Bethesda an their games, at least up until FO4 and 76.

Not sure how I feel about this. In a perfect world, all these studios can create cool games now.

In the real world (which sucks) some of these studios will be closed down if their games don't gain enough traction. Sadly, I think Obsidian and/or InXile might be the first ones to go, if their stuff does not hit 100 percent. Edit: Not that they are part of this latest aquisition, but their games do have a lot of overlap with Bethesda.

It's sort of this cycle with a lot of these aquisitions. I bet some of the studios MS bought will only make one more game and then get folded into 343 or Coalition or cease to exist.

Now, the Bethesda studios might be fine for a couple of years.

And honestly: GIVE FALLOUT TO OBSIDIAN. They deserve another shot.

Ugh, okay. I wasn't really into the Castlevania Netflix thing everybody seemed to be raving about. But the story and weirdness of Dragons Dogma could be great for an anime. Or so I thought.

I really liked the Sea of Thieves stream they had recently (yesterday?)

Boy, that game has gotten a LOT better. It seems like the ideal game to hang out and talk to people. Lots of downtime, its really chill most of the time. And its always fun to see the GB crew play that game.

This should be in chronological order. It used to be like that. An awesome way to see the evolution of the site. Now it just seems ramdom.
