I really think cutting A way out from most disappointing was the best choice. It was never mentioned in the discussion, but the game was not released as a 60$ game, it was more like 40$ and you only needed one copy of the game to play it coop. The developer had a small budget to work with and I was satisfied with what they delivered. I didnt play Sea of thieves nor Fallout 76, but Red Dead Redemption 2 was a disappointment for me. There are tons of details and the story seems good, but the gameplay is truly lacking. I honestly didnt think it was fun to play because of it.
Love these games, and it's amazing to see you guys playing them all over again. I think Jeff would've enjoyed the competition-stages a lot more if he took a better advantage of grind combos, just like the pro strat learnt from the later games in the series.. I know you can't manual and string longer combos together in this first game, but you can still get a lot of points by grinding rails and building up the combo with gap-bonuses, kickflips etc. Looking forward to Jeff Gerstmann's Pro Skater 2 and beyond =)
