To Abby and Vinny, I find it hilarious that the two "Memes" you were talking about were actually the same thing, based off of a Kate Beaton comic
Abby's Southern Accent is so, so much better than Cage's (Her Australian could still use some work)
Con Air is a bad movie that is entirely redeemed by its final 15 minutes or so. Fun fact, my Art History teacher actually used the plane crash as an example of perfection within an artistic movement.
And I absolutely have to chime in with others and say I'll happily forego getting wasted for a week to allow Dan to join in on The Rock.
This feature is the closest I'll ever probably get to watching The Rock with Dan, and I absolutely don't want to miss out on that. I know y'all value regularity and consistency but legit just postpone it a week.
In the few days leading up to release I absolutely devoured any video of this I could find.
Austin and especially Tom Francis's videos were really awesome for anyone who wants a more detailed and slower-paced look after Alex's nice intro.
I credit them with a lot of the success I've been having since I picked the game up. Started on Normal and have so far won 6/12 Normal runs.
It's absolutely incredible how different every team of Mechs feels. It's not just new ways of doing the same stuff, you have to completely change how your brain is wired to solve the problems the game chucks at you, and that's before I've even touched Random or Custom Teams.
And btw it's Flame Behemoths and Rust Hulks 4 LYFE
Danika Harrod blocked me on twitter and it's really bugging me. I mean, I'm not some creep who gets blocked on the reg. And I don't even recall ever having an interaction with her.
End rant.
You probably got caught in a block-list. Don't take it personally.
Women on social media have to take extra measures to make those platforms useable sometimes. One of those measures is auto-curated lists of people who are mass-blocked. There's a bunch of lists but they're almost always based on people who follow prominent shitheads.
If you're worried about it, take a look through who you follow. Even if it's for a joke or whatever, it can sometimes land you on one.
This was definitely the most intense one yet, and really enjoyable, even if it might be funnier watching you guys accidentally or intentionally shooting each other. Your plan to get into action quickly to get your mechanical skills improving is very clever and you can tell it's paying off.
That said, there are still a few bad habits you guys have that are really holding you back.
In the second-to-last game, watching Alex react to being shot by running OUT of cover was pretty painful. When you have a tree for cover and are getting shot you need to make your first priority just rotating around that tree and getting cover. It can sometimes be sort of process of elimination, but once you're relatively safe you can peek around that tree and try to find your enemy.
And I know people have said this before but y'all focus way too much on giving numbers for orientation when that stuff is really best used for fine tuning once you have general orientation. Fast, effective information that let your team get cover from the enemy, even if they don't know where they are, at which point you can focus on spotting actual shooters. Front, Left, Right, Behind, Hill, House, much better for first response.
And related to that, numbers are especially useless when you're spread out, Alex telling the others, who are almost 100m north of him, an overly-precise number, which if they use will have them looking nearly 90 degrees away from the enemy. Using the minimap, which retains orientation, to give them "West of YOU" is the only really useful info you can give people who you are separated from.
But yeah, the improvement is tangible and good, and Abby is a great addition, so looking forward to all future Island Murder!!
