Can Torrented Games be Justified?

After watching GameTrailer's top 10 necessary sequels I realized that I wanted to play the Panzer Dragoon series, while remembering that I dislike Shenmue but that's another story for another time. So I started my hunt for Panzer Dragoon Saga, while looking for 1 and 2, and quickly decided that paying 200 dollars for a game is pretty steep. Now, I don't own a Sega Saturn so I would have to buy one if I wanted to play Panzer Dragoon on a console. However if I buy those games, none of that money goes to Sega, you know they need it. So while I realize that there is a difference between torrenting a game and buying a used copy, no money goes to the developer.

Now I hate used games sales just as bad as people torrenting games but when my only two options are those, I'd rather not pay. I would love Sega to bring those games to a current console, wonder if that will happen, however I have limited options. Now I realize that Game Tap has Panzer Dragoon 1 and 2, however if I'm not mistaken the service Game Tap provides doesn't allow me to actually own the games, I just play any game they have for their monthly service charge. That isn't a viable option for me either because I like to own my games! The worst thing to do is rent a game and have none of that money go towards the cost of the purchase; on top of that I wouldn't own the game, which is something I would like.

So the real question now is, have I justified the means of torrenting: Panzer Dragoon, Panzer Dragoon II Zwei, and Panzer Dragoon Saga? Has money clouded my judgement because I'd hate to pony up 200 dollars for a game that I've never played? Should I torrent it for the means of a demo and then buy the game used if I absolutely love it? Go forth Giant Bombers and tell me of my misdeeds or how torrenting is all right if the developer sees none of the money.

Half-Life 2

I'm going to keep this nice and short, do you actually think the G-Man is Gordon Freeman? Could the story actually be like inFAMOUS and have future self tricking past self? I'm not saying that would be bad however I would come to expect better from Valve. It would feel very anticlimactic for me, however that just might be myself. Thoughts?

Final Fantasy VII

I was playing Final Fantasy VII on PSN for about four hours today. I've cranked out about 5 and half hours, and I'm still in Midgar! How long does it take until I get out of Midgar? Does the game stall during the meaty part of the game? As in do I go to dungeons just to get some stuff that isn't related to the game.

Waiting fo' da' mail

I've recently purchased four games on Amazon.com, and I can't wait for them to arrive in the mail. I bought: Shadow of the Colossus, Crackdown, God of War, and Mass Effect. What is your feedback on my choices? Peace out!

Now what?

I just beat Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, I thought it was a pretty good game overall; however the lack of meaty checkpoints annoyed me frequently. I suppose the next thing I play is Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty. You know, I hate when you know what is suppose to happen and you're waiting for it to happen only to be disappointed in thinking the story is over cause what you're told happens, but then the story continues and you think maybe the internet lied to you? Turns out it doesn't lie, at least not very much (looking at you Wikipedia!). I guess I'm having fun with Trash Panic, however it is really difficult. I would still recommend it since it is just five dollars. The last thing I takle will be Final Fantasy VII, since it is so long; cause I've played two hours and not much has happened (WTF!)! I leave my ranting to the internet, heh.

Giantbomb is finally up!

Glad to be finally part of a community since Jeff Gerstmann moved from GameSpot. This site is awesome cause it cares about the games and not what stupid console it is on. I like that a lot. However I'm kinda wondering what Wiki Points are but I think it got it under wraps.
