Vinny- Flood is great for kids, but our kids loved TMBG's Here Come the ABCs and Here come the 123s better. They're wrong, of course, but maybe your kids will be similarly deluded?
Great work! This was chuckle-worthy the entire read. I've felt all these things, and still have yet to go back to try 8 or so of the characters because of these "learning" experiences. I mainly stick with Reinhardt on attack and Lucio on defense, with some Mercy and Bastion as situational substitutes. I wish I could play Mei- a good Mei will wreck me every time.
Is there a GB Overwatch community? I'm at Level 26 and getting tired of playing with 5 randos who all choose damage dealers, with me left with the Sophie's choice of tank or healer to supplement. I won't even get into what the voice chat sounds like. Spoiler: someone on my team ALWAYS has a parrot squawking the entire match.
The most recent game I just didn't like that I should have was Fallout 3. Something about looking like a twitch game, but really rolling the dice behind the scenes (something I really like in my turn-based RPGs) just felt icky.
Bonus- the gaming system that seemed tailor-made for me (but I totally hated) was the DS. I was a huge GBA fan, but the form factor of the DS just didn't work for me. My family has had 5 systems total from the DS family, and it wasn't until my kids got their 2DSs that I finally felt comfortable gaming on it (which, duh... it's a supergigantic GBA with an added touchscreen).
