You might want to check out X Rebirth when it comes out. Hopefully the economy will make more sense than in the previous games.

I'm glad to see so many PC gamers posting here! Unfortunately, I can't offer advice as I've never owned an Xbox.

Mass Effect for me. Star Wars was awesome when I was younger, but the more I age, the more I notice and am bothered by the failings of its universe. It's a high-tech universe that somehow doesn't have nanobots, its combat droids are inferior to human soldiers, there are still basic problems such as shortages of food or water (we already have water recycling!), the guns on starships have to be manually aimed, and a whole lot of other stuff I can't think of off the top of my head.
