Some gameplay tips:

- If there's a floor above an NPC or group of NPCs, then shoot a silenced gun shot above the NPC(s). (One of the) NPC will hear the gun shot, but think it's coming from the floor above them. They will actually seek it out, thereby clearing you of at least one of the NPC in a given room.

- Side note: gun shots can be used as distractions too.

- Shooting the main security computer center is faster than actually walking up to it and going through the animation.

- Speaking of shooting instead of going through the animation, you can do the same with the following: power generators, power boxes, water faucets, gas valves, power strips, car batteries, (there are more)

Folks-

Kotti (inventor of Hitman Roulette) has updated his Roulette tool to include Hitman 2 missions! Please note that they’re all under Hitman since there’s no difference in the season 1 maps under Hitman 2. For Blood Money fans, Hitman Roulette works for this as well!

(IOI, this should be in the game. Please IOI?)

I hear a lot of folks talking about GoW as being a possible No. 1 pick, but I just can't see it. Both East and West barely talk about it, it's hardly ever been in the regular conversations of both teams. So, I just don't see it. It may be in the top 10, but number 1? I just don't see it. And yes, I also don't think RDR2 has a chance either.

So what game will take it this year? Unlike past years, I truly don't know. Maybe Tetris Effect?

I predict there will be an RDR2 argument with one particular staff member insisting it gets in to the top 10, robbing something like Hitman 2 of a deserved mention.

While Hitman 2 is my favorite game of the year, I doubt that it'll even hit top 10 in GOTY for GB.

I get the argument for some this control scheme "you get used to because of the flow of the game and then you just get sucked in to the world." My response: how much sooner would you have enjoyed the game, gotten sucked into the open world, and flow of the game if the controls were actually responsive? Methinks, a lot sooner.

I went with hate. Jeff's on record as hating westerns as a whole.

Yup. I can totally understand as well (note: fan of RDR). I'm generally not a fan of the "fantasy genre" (dragons, wizards, etc.) . It's why I typically have a hard time getting into, excited about, etc. about most RPGs since they are set in that universe. Sad, because I adore RPGs, but setting/genre really makes a difference on one's outlook and feelings towards any game/media.

In terms of comments on why anyone cares? I agree. I just love to guess sometimes Jeff's review/thoughts on games.

I don't think he gives two shits about horseback riding and old timey guns, so this game is probably not his cup of tea at all. Then again, maybe if he plays it enough to get into the groove of things he might get sucked into the open world immersion that happens in those games. Hard to say with open world games.

Well for RDR, Jeff specifically mentioned the horse controls on part of the reason why he disliked the game (I disliked the controls as well, but still enjoyed the game overall). Additionally, Jeff simply isn't a fan of the Western setting and that also includes other media like books, film, and television.

If Jeff likes RDR2, that'll actually be a surprise to me.
