It's bad fan service. The only way to pull off a membership program and have it not come off as a negative is to have members only receive more content, nothing can be taken away from the old users, no matter how well reasoned the arguments are for it. The majority of people aren't going to pay for a website, it's simply a fact of the internet. So for most people taking anything away from the non subscribed is to the majority of visitors simply taking away from the website. Splitting up the bombcast is a negative, period. Nothing is added to the bombcast by doing that, it's only requiring people to pay for the same amount of bombcast they were getting before for free.  
 
Now I understand their argument about the man hours and how without the memberships we'd only be getting a one hour bombcast period, but that's a negative. There is no way to spin that as a positive thing, the very best you can do is convince people it's a necessary evil.

I have never understood this. I don't find ads on the dashboard disruptive at all. Hell, I hardly notice them. Its not like IGN where they hijack your entire background for a full page ad. Those little tab through menus minimize the ad effect. At the same time, some of the promotions I see are some I am interested in. I can't see how some people insist that ads on the Xbox are such a burden. "

How about you guys try some hints that don't require you know a lot about soccer. Every single player hint is shit like the team and position they play, I don't know a fucking thing like that. If I was giving a hint about say Tiger Woods to someone who didn't know golf, I'd say shit like was involved in a controversy, is an animal, you can get lost in his last name, shit like that.. And try a different hint if people are having trouble with the first one, don't just reprint the same one over and over again.
