@gregalor: I got the impression it was actually cross-coast. Early on Jeff mentions the time being accurate and Vinny starts to say it's different in NY, before jokingly correcting himself saying they were really in the same room. Plus Vinny's voice sounded like it was coming through a speaker more than Jeff.
@kylerramos: Well I don't feel like the Quick Look quite shows off the scope of the city either. It feels MUCH bigger than any of the cities or towns in previous games.
@gregalor: I think you might just be expecting answers to things sooner than you are meant to see them. It's only a contradiction if it's handwaved for the whole game. Slowly revealing the truth is pretty par for the course in Persona.
@kylerramos: That's not really true. There are a lot of systems unseen in the intro. A lot of it you could guess by having played P4, but there's no hint of demon negotiations there, or the much improved dungeon designs, or memento dungeons, confidants, etc.
If you hate everything in the intro you probably wouldn't take a total 180 later, but there is definitely much more to this game than they showed.
@gregalor: I imagine that's something the game will address further as the game goes on. It seems obvious to me that is something that will inevitably have to be cleared up by the end of the game so everyone knows how much of a good guy you are. That's JRPG 101.
Man what the hell is going on with the main character's situation and everyone's reaction to it, it makes absolutely no sense.
It seems like the politician guy managed to pull some things to twist the truth and get him convicted, at which point nobody bothered to trust his word and treats him as a worthless delinquent. Basically none of them seem to know what actually happened, just what the court told them happened.
@gregalor: That is an inherent flaw with a lot of Quick Looks they start fresh.
I have come to accept that Quick Looks are not going to be a fully informed or accurate representation of a game. If I need more I look elsewhere. There's plenty of more in-depth P5 preview coverage out there.
This game seems great ^_^ although I'm not sure I agree that the voice acting sounds good. It's fine for some characters, but the majority of this ql just sounds like standard over exaggerated anime VO to me. I super want to play this though!
I always find this to be a weird complaint. Of course it's exaggerated, so is the Japanese dub, it's anime. There is subtle anime out there with subtle performances, but this game is the opposite of that. It's over the top in every way.
