@mooseymcman: Yeah, i gave up on the quicklook cus the game audio is basically not even there. They probably forgot to check audio levels before recording. Then didnt bother looking at the QL before posting it lol.
I mean Giant Bomb has reviewed a single game in 8 months. So calling them game reviewers is honestly misleading at this point. They review enough games to technically qualify for review copies of games and thats it.
Giantbomb is basically a glorified youtube channel now. Not saying thats good or bad. But calling them game journalists or reviewers is not accurate at all. They dont write articles, they dont do reviews. They're just streamers at this point. Which is fine. But call em like they are.
I just got this game a few days ago and beat it in like 3 days (admittedly during the Covid lockdown) but its SUPER good. Most of the performance issues have been fixed. One cutscene kept hitching up when you first get to the wookie homeworld and talk to Saw, that whole dialogue had like a dozen hitches in it but aside from that performance has been solid on a normal PS4. Alot of the issues seem to have been fixed.
Its like star wars + dark souls + metroid + uncharted, with solid story telling. I loved this game during the this whole covid lockdown, i'm probably going to replay it on the highest difficulty. But just letting folks know most (not all) but most of the issues have been resolved.
Oh look, the comments turned into unnecessary Bethesda bashing. Classy folks. Gaming culture is the worst. Fallout is my favorite franchise. Both the original games and the Bethesda ones, but you cannot discuss the games online without it turn into a hostile hate filled toxic minefield. It really sucks.
I'm so happy reviews are coming back, its been a weird while where giantbomb just didnt really review anything. But i'm really glad they are, having so much video content you understand each of the crew enough to know their tastes, which give the reviews more weight i think.
This game seems cool and stuff. i like star wars, i like dark souls. So yeah. I'll probably buy it during a holiday sale or something, hopefully the bugs and issues are fixed in the next couple months.
Yeah, everything ive seen and heard make it sound super tedious and not very fun or interesting. Which is a bummer since this was one of the big games this season for me. I think ill pick up Outer Worlds instead.
Its kinda disappointing Abby and Alex dismiss any negative character traits as "bad story telling/writing".
Some of the most interesting characters in fiction are deeply flawed people. I just played the last of us remastered, and Joel is a horrible person, but an amazing character. Just seems like "oh i dont like this one specific dialogue choice so i'm going to dismiss the entire game and character.
Dont have knee jerk reactions to character based on first impressions people....
