Released close to its main competitor (Soul Edge), the sequel to the first-ever 3D weapon-based fighting game brings its blades to arcades (for its first and only time).
Set years before the World Warrior tournament of Street Fighter II, Street Fighter Alpha explores the backstories of some of the series's familiar faces (while introducing new ones) with a revamped fighting game engine (complete with a new cartoony art style).
The second installment of the Darkstalkers franchise refines both the original game's story (adding two new fighters) and gameplay (including an improved "super meter" system where characters can stock up on multiple meters and can perform enhanced moves at any time).

The first fighting game set in the Marvel universe brings Capcom's take on the X-Men series, as the titular mutant superheroes must fight the mutant followers of Magneto.
Ecco: The Tides of Time is the following game in the Ecco the Dolphin series.
Gothic horror-themed archetypes fight for the right to be "Lord of the Night" in the first entry of Capcom's off-beat second fighting game series.
The first of two arcade beat-em-up games made by Capcom with the D&D theme to it.
Joe Montana's NFL Football was released for the Sega CD in the fall of 1993. Play as any of the 28 teams and get hints from Joe himself when you need help.
Sonic the Hedgehog's sole adventure for the Sega CD, as he travels through time to save the fate of Little Planet from Dr. Robotnik's army of robots (including Sonic's new adversary: his metallic doppelganger).
Capcom's main entry into pro-wrestling video games, Saturday Night Slam Masters blends a colorful cast of fictional characters with unique mechanics based on fighting games.
The greatest amalgam of motorsports and paleontology ever conceived.
A Capcom arcade beat-em-up game similar to games like Double Dragon featuring the Marvel character The Punisher. Nick Fury is also a playable character in this game.
Guide the caped crusader as he fights through hordes of circus performers to foil the plans of The Penguin and Catwoman in this action game based on the 1992 movie of the same name.
Take control of a dolphin and solve the mystery of a powerful storm in this unconventional and notoriously-difficult 2D side-scroller published by Sega.
This side scroller was based on the 1984 science fiction blockbuster of the same name.
Spidey swings his way through the streets, rooftops, parks, warehouses, sewers, and underground secret bases of New York in his fight against the Kingpin.
