    Quiz Kit

Game » consists of 0 releases.

Quiz Kit is a Twitch game which allows broadcasters to make and manage their own live gameshows with their audience as the participants.

    Short summary describing this game.

How to play long to quiz show on Twitch using Quiz Kit:

All you have to do to play Quiz Kit on Twitch, is to be on a Quiz Kit streaming channel on desktop or the mobile app, and click the answer on the screen that you think is right in each round.

However, if you want your Twitch User ID to show up in the leaderboard and get all due credit and prizes that may come your way should you do well, you will need to allow the extension access to your information. You can do this in with either one of two ways for desktop.

    1. On a streaming channel, click on the Quiz Kit logo that pops up on the right hand side when you hover your mouse over the stream. In the pop-up box, click Manage Access, and then Grant.
    2. If the clicking the Quiz Kit logo does not bring up the Manage Access option like above, hover your mouse over the stream and instead click on the extension puzzle piece icon in the play bar along the bottom of the stream. Again, in the pop-up box, click Manage Access, and then Grant.

There is a slightly different method for mobile users.

    • On a streaming channel on the official Twitch app, click on the Quiz Kit icon in the top-right of the chat window. Then, click on the three vertical dots, select Link Identity, and confirm access to your Twitch User ID in the window that will pop up.

How to create and host your own quiz show on Twitch using Quiz Kit:

The first thing you need to do is install the extension. If you head to your Creator Dashboard logged into your Twitch profile, then click on the extensions tab. Here, you can search for Quiz Kit, and install it.

Once it’s installed, you can configure Quiz Kit by clicking on the Configure button or the cog icon in the bottom right hand corner from the My Extensions page. This brings up the configuration window, and allows you to either look through all of the pre-made quizzes, or create your own. If you choose to create your own quiz, you’ll be asked to enter your Gameshow name and (optionally) a catchy tagline.

Then, you will need to choose your game mode. These can be Knockout, Points or Risk It mode:

    • Knockout Mode - To win this mode, a player must answer all of the set questions correctly. If a player answers a question wrong they are eliminated from the game and can no longer answer questions. This game will end when either all of the questions have been answered or every player has been knocked out.
    • Points Mode - To win this mode, a player must have the highest number of points at the end of the quiz. A player gains points by answering correctly, and gets more points for faster answers. A player loses points by answering wrong, and faster wrong answers lose more points. A player can also not answer, and therefore not lose or win any points. This game will end when all of the questions have been answered.
    • Risk It Mode - To win this mode, a player must have the highest number of coins at the end of the quiz. A streamer has time to tell a story about their simple question to the audience, and the players bet coins on whether they think it is true or false. Coins are accrued through each question, but can be gambled away if a player chooses wrongly. A player can also not bet any coins, and therefore not lose or win any. This game will end when all of the questions have been answered.

After that, the Question Creator screen will offer you the option to add a variety of pre-written questions, set to easy, medium or hard difficulty, or to write your own custom question from scratch. All questions will have one correct answer and three wrong answers.

Once your quiz is done and ready to be played, you can save and exit from the configuration screen, and set Quiz Kit as Overlay 1 on your Twitch stream. This now means that when you open up your Live Stream, you will be able to see the Quiz Kit extension manager in a separate tab to your stream. From here you can select which quiz you would like to run, and begin the game, with an option to show an instruction screen in-stream to your viewers before starting.

As soon as you start the quiz the first question will show up on your twitch stream, and the timer will start counting down for that question. As streamer, you will be able to see which answer is the correct one in your extension tab. Once the timer is up, it is up to you to click to reveal the correct answer on screen, and then another click once you are ready to see the leaderboard as it stands after that question.
