    I'm trying to do a quest for a sick old man in the Subway City and have to fetch a flower for him. He says to go way north, however, when I get out to the wasteland, the way point just points me back into the city....anyone else have this problem?

    Did this literally just now. If you've done the German guy's quest, I think that's what causes this. Just head out of the city, North, and in the corridor straight ahead is what you're looking for. You might have to look around on foot a bit.
