The first I've ever heard of this game was just now on Steam. It is a 4 player co-op game using the Source engine that uses the AI Director from Left 4 Dead.

It looks mediocre but the Battlegrounds MP mode looks pretty fun. Its a sort of FPS RTS mix where you choose which units you want to move and give them orders.

There aren't too many co-op games out right now so I might give it a look.

This is proof the world is going to end. I visited the site that gave it a review from Steam, and it really looks like a marketed "Pay us" review site. I'll pass on it, as I rarely pick up a game that's more than $10 without having followed it for a while.

I can't decide whether I should be fucking annoyed or impressed that multiple people agreed to develop a game based around this dumb Mayan apocalypse bullshit. It's most definitely both.

This looks weird. Looks like something mediocre that would have come out around 2001.

I went ahead and bought it just for curiosity's sake. I'll do my own "quicklook" tomorrow and I'll do a blind run of it.

    Jesus.

This looks like a heavily-modified version of L4D2 which you'd see in pretty much any theme-based map.

It does seem okay but on the other hand this would be better off as a mod rather than a standalone game.

The game is pretty bad. It took a lot of stuff from L4D but then got rid of special infected and a sense of where to go. Get lost in an outdoor level with rain is about the whole entire first campaign followed by a really weak boss fight.

I've got some video footage out of it, will upload tomorrow.

This looks like a Left4dead mod. Not a game "like it". It looks like an actual fucking mod.

This game has hands down the most garish and hideous art design I've ever seen of any game.

There was a blockbuster movie based on it, and apparently a lot of people believe that shit enough to plan to commit suicide or to kill their children so they wont have to suffer through the end of the world, and well, as the whole thing is just about making money of it, I'm honestly surprised there haven't been a lot more games to try to profit off it.

Just knowing how involved and a pain in the ass game development is, especially when its not a blockbuster game, it's astounding the balls it requires to organize the development of this game. I have to wonder if all the other devs did it for the cash or if they all believed in this shit.
