So my brother bought Beatles Rock Band and the Rock Band instrument pack last month and I've been playing the shit out of that game.

Now even though I love The Beatles, I wanna play some other songs aswell.

My question is if buying Rock Band 2 now is bad idea since it's been out for so long and a sequel might be coming. But when I look at the songs that are available for download in RB2 I get so excited. I mean that's an amazing library of songs.

So would you guys recommend to wait or just go out and buy it?

I have a feeling that we shouldn't expect Rock Band 3 until around fall next year, so yeah, you should get RB2 now. Lots of good improvements in that one.

Definitely. The song's on the disc are fantastic, and there's a crap-ton more for download. If you can you should also rent the first Rock Band, then you can transfer pretty much all of the music to RB2 for 400MSP.

Rock Band games tend be released around the September - November range, so chances are that a possible Rock Band 3 wouldn't be released till next Autumn.

Rock Band 3 won't be out until next year probably, and if you want to play something other than Beatles, Rock Band 2 would be a great choice. I prefer the library of the first game, but that's just me. Plus, there's an amazing library of DLC songs.

Do this. Cannot stress this enough. For 400 Microsoft points--basically the price of, what, two Marketplace songs?--you're getting nearly the whole catalogue of Rock Band tracks.

Too bad I'm on the Wii and I can't rent games here I Norway. Thanks for the suggestion anyways.
