Overview

Rock 'n' Roll Adventures is a 3D comical fantasy platformer developed and published by Data Design Interactive for the PlayStation 2 and PC (Platform) exclusively in Europe in 2007. It also received a Wii release in both North America and Europe the same year, with the NA version released by Conspiracy Entertainment.

Set in a fantasy land of musical instruments, players control Elviz (Character) (who resembles the real-life rock star Elvis Presley (Person)) as he uses his platforming and legendary guitar against sentient music instruments ("off-beat tunes") in order to collect eight golden records and activate a teleporter.

It was later revealed through leftover game files that the game was originally pitched as a 3D sequel to the Zool duology of 2D platformers before that concept was instead split off into four separate budget games, each with their own theme and protagonist. The sweets-themed stages became Ninjabread Man (Game), the Egypt-themed stages became Anubis II, the toy-themed stages became Myth Makers: Trixie in Toyland, and the music-themed stages later became Rock 'n' Roll Adventures.

The game's short three-level length and nearly non-existent story, as well as the Wii version's poor motion controls and the game's near-identical gameplay and assets with the above-mentioned games, gave Rock 'n Roll Adventures notoriety as one of the worst games in the Wii's library.
