Man... I know sleep powder is only 75% to hit, but that was very annoying to watch.

Please, if you're going against Jan, don't do that. I understand his sentiment but it's just not entertaining for the viewer at all.

Love the series Jan but last few episodes I've been thinking...

First off I wonder how many of the community members who are battling are screen watching? The move counter timer clearly allows for it. And are you guys building teams that clearly counter Jans?

Second, I know Jan you like keeping it fresh with new Pokemon but I quite enjoyed it when you were winning the majority of the games, and absolutely owning some. Though maybe that made for boring viewing and was unfair to the community who battled.

Nope I'm not screen watching or building teams to specifically beat Jan. Now that the UK time savings day is coming up the time differences will be back to normal & I won't be able to play Jan again, I can't stay up until 1:30AM to play against him. Which makes me sad but if some new players can get in that's fine by me.

No, I wasn't screen watching, nor did I make a party to counter Jan, I had finished the game that afternoon. No one told me there were rules to play to keep it interesting... I thought my approach was sneaky but valid. But nah, I guess I should have rolled with a team of Mewtwos or something.

Jan had some tough opponents this week dang. I hope it doesn't break his spirit too much because I love watching him play.

Watching him play makes me want to buy Let's Go! just to match up with him, or at the very least makes me super excited for the new Pokemon game assuming Jan keeps this series up for that.

@janman Thanks Jan, It was a good game, and like I said in chat, I made a mistake late in the game that could've cost me the match. After seeing chat and comments I was very disheartened, the match felt very tense on my end -- sorry for the viewers =P :

I like this series but I would be more interested in seeing Jan play one of the battle simulators instead of on Pokemon Let's Go. The Let's Go meta seems kinda stale, plus the battle simulators typically have ban lists (no mewtwo, etc) and stuff like sleep clause to help make matches more interesting than the ones seen here.

Nothing against any of the opponents, but "competitive" pokemon is just a lot more interesting to watch when people agree to use some of the competitive "guidelines" set forth by the community. Not sure if those simulators run into any legal hurdles though, and they certainly dont have the presentation chops that the actual games have. . . Still a fun watch, keep it up Jan.

Rough week for Jan, but stayin' strong despite the trials Arceus puts him through.

Look up the "sleep clause" there's a pretty common rule in competitive Pokemon that if you ever put 2 of your opponent's pokemon to sleep you auto-lose the game. Mass sleeping a team is well within the mechanics of the game but one of the more common no-no's of battling. I know this isn't any kind of official event, and if you're new to pokemon battling there's very little chance you would see that you did anything wrong, so it's no biggie in the end, but please realize that it's very bad mannered to do, even in a casual setting , the same way maxing out the evasion of one of your pokemon is (which is covered in the evasion clause, another fairplay rule of pokemon battling)

@liquid3600: Max doubleteam Scizor used to be my go to move of Pokemon battling in the Pokemon Gold days way back in the year 2000. Smug little me used to think I was so smart.

You didn't cheat and Jan already gave you a further post-match thumbs up but still man, come on. You don't have to have to be a seasoned vet to realize just putting the whole opposing team to sleep is really lame. If you have to defend yourself by saying "It's not like anyone said it was supposed to interesting at all to watch" you already know you were doing something questionable.

Aw Jan, that last match hurt me as well :( Don't let the unfair RNG break your spirit!
