once again i would like to thank all of you for keeping the bombcast free for me. i deserve it.

Jeff doesn't like a co-op aspect of a game? Some things never change.

Sounds like Jeff is just bad at playing Dead rising 2.

jesus...play on a harder difficulty level.  if you have 10K gold and the closet civ has 600 gold then you are obviously playing on easy.

This Minecraft business scares me.  I thought it was just this silly thing Hamz found but now the knowledge of its existence spread like wildfire.

I'm intrigued by minecraft just not enough to in fact buy it.

I agree with Jeff on DR completely, However i completed the story and found and made tons of combo weapons on my own intuition, so there's no excuse! the two handed combo weapons suck though, not being able to truck those around easily is a real bummer.
 
Oh and i have no doubt the last boss will make Jeff scream.

The conversation about hoarding old components and gadgets hit home. Fortunately I've freed myself from the years of having bags filled with cables, and a loft full of old PC parts. Quite recently I simply chucked it all away. There may be some reason in the future that I'll actually need a Gamecube S-Video lead, but if that time comes I'll deal with it.

Brad, lava in Minecraft indeed cools into rock when it hits water.  Whether it turns into common cobblestone or rare and valuable obsidian depends on how the interaction takes place.  I believe if the water hits lava from above it turns into obsidian.

Seeing how Minecraft is still being made, and that the survival part of it is in fact really "gamey", I'd call Minecraft a freakin' good game. Eventually creatures will be able to destroy blocks as well, so you will have to work to survive. 
Oh, and the maps can be 8 times the size of the Earth. Yeah.

I saw someone at my college playing minecraft yesterday and was like "Fuck yeah, minecraft!" 

The problem with minecraft is that is impossible to explain, in conversation, what makes the game interesting. The sell point for the game, for me, is the awesome cavern generation algorithms that are being used here. It's sort a game you can explore infinitely.

actually I think only the lava that you find in big pools very deep turn into obsidian when you trow water at it. Also I find obsidian to be overrated, you need a diamond pick, takes forever to mine and all you can do with it right now are anti creeper  walls, would be awesome if you could craft tools and weapons out of it though. "

If you wanted to see where Milo ended up, here's one of the last demos Peter Molyneux did at a Ted conference.  Seems more like a game, but not all that fun...  Unless you're the old guy in the bathrobe from Family Guy.
