Figured the VR stuff would just be the campaign missions, weird surprise when the mission starts and the call sign is Mobius 1. I played Shattered Skies soooo much back in the day, and then a hell of a lot of Fires of Liberation too.

@deathpooky: It was getting so frustrated by that lol. He was going way too fast, shooting as soon as he got a lock on, and then losing track of his target by switching to the missile cam and pulling up. It's no wonder he said he runs out of missiles most of the time.

Also, does anyone else think it's weird that Dan is so bad at a bunch of the games he's always hyping up?

Was that a tank that Dan blew up on top of that mountain? Why would they put a tank up there?

This makes me very tempted to pick up a PSVR. Also, Dan seems to be full throttle/afterburner most of the time. That makes lining up shots and getting missile trajectories right very hard. I bought it for PC so I'll have to wait to play it, but can finally play AC6 on my Xbox One while I wait!

So this doesn't have 21:9 support on pc.....what a missed opportunity.

Oh okay, the main theme is loss of nation and cultural/ethnic identity. So we're doing the MGSV thing.

Funny how Dan doesnt realize he is flying a real Soviet plane.

He also never seemed to realize that the LAGMs have splash damage, indicated by the circle around the target, he kept targeting the last truck in every convoy or one of the outer targets in any cluster of structures, when he could've taken out whole groups with that missile if he had targeted something the center of any of those clusters.

It probably won't take too long for someone to mod that in.

Another one of Dans favorite games that he knows nothing about. It is really stunning that he can list off every Fatality in every Mortal Kombat game but doesn't know a single thing about the narrative of a series he has played, enjoyed and reviewed.

• Osean Federation and Yuktobanian Republics fight
• Asteroid Ulysses 1994XF04 destroyed some shit
• railgun called "Stonehenge" was turned into a weapon by Usea after teh above asteroid hit
• I recall some of the nations that fought...and some of the previous wars like the 'Belkan War'. [I always imagined that the the Belkan war was a war where "Belkin Electronics" fought "Cisco Networking"]

But, the games do not talk about Strangereal, because why would the game character say they live in an alternate universe. The moniker Strangereal, is just the name "game players" use to talk about this Namco Universe. It appears this retcon by Namco producers, to tie the various game, occured when they were making Ace Combat 5.

Oh, this game is so good. We're finally home on Strangereal again!

I think it's partly because the camera stops following the movement of the very fast missile. It's always looked this way when you use the missile came, so I'm used to how it looks. But the later Project ACES games definitely have missiles and planes cheat, especially when it's against the player.

This Quick Look sold me on the game but I just lost my job so probably won't be buying anything in the near future.

Dan's joy at this game is contagious. Finally a game that makes me want PS VR.

I can't believe Dan played all these games without noticing that the plots, names, radio chatter, etc. are all Anime as hell.

Holy shit this is a good idea. Tie Fighter is on GOG right now and works fine on modern PCs.
