Only just started listenig so I don't know yet if you'll pull this specific quote about Lewis and his Zonda, but:

"It is actually a bit embarrassing that the world's fastest driver has crashed a hypercar between two of the slowest corners in Formula 1 and run into a couple of stationary cars," - Martin Brundle

Alonso might not be winning races, but that's definitely not stopping him from being cool in my book.

I believe Mansell means they were running high fuel loads and avoiding fuel saving lift and coast tactics.

Of course Lewis owns a Pagani Zonda. Of course he crashes it. 30 year old man-child that he is.

A week late, but there was a real good summary of McLaren's engine problems on Reddit. It goes into more detail about the specific problems than the BBC article Drew mentioned last week. It's an interesting read if you're familiar with all the basic turbo and hybrid parts!

I had to stop listening during your take on the strategy stuff. Mercedes have been very consistent with how they handle strategy. First car on track gets first call on the pit stops, with both cars on the optimal strategy, unless extraneous circumstances (like a closely following Vettel going for an undercut) force them into something else in order to guarantee a 1-2.

Getting the 1-2 is the primary objective. Their strategy isn't concerned with the order of that 1-2, that's up to the drivers. Hamilton couldn't hack it in qualifying or the race, so he ended up second. End of story. How in the world is Rosberg a sore loser when it's Hamilton whining?

In Mexico they pitted both cars an additional time because they had the gap over Ferrari and it was a no-brainer to do it as a precaution. Rosbergs tyres weren't any worse, but you can't pit one car and then not pit the other. How is that so hard to understand?

@elore: yeah, I'm with you. not a big fan of Rosberg myself but the team have been handeling strategy to perfection this year, making sure it is up to the team to get a 1-2 finish and up to the drivers to decide the order.

I'm surprised you didn't mention this in the news but McLaren have confirmed that both Alonso and Button will still be racing with them during the 2016 season.

Mostly because they will still be trying to complete the 2015 races, but it's something.

I forgot that UPF ever happened, and I was convinced that the thumbnail was A) photoshop to put that many GB and GB alumni in one place, and then B) photoshop on the Jeff part, obviously.

For a moment there I thought they will record the episode with more people there and it would've been so cool. :) Such a missed opportunity, no matter good one too.

To speak to what @dannyodwyer mentions about "its about the team as much as the driver" He is absolutely right.

However, I think the big problem here, is that the rules are such that the dominant team emerges in the first 4 races.....and the season's pretty well set. There's no way for another team to really go back to the engineering table and create any way of catching up until the following season.

I absolutely agree. I also got frustrated with how much Danny hates Rosberg. He mentioned the time Rosberg threw the hat when he was frustrated, but made no mention of Lewis being a child this entire weekend, from refusing to go to the photo op after qualifying to being a huge crybaby on the podium.
