I have some drifting advice if you want it: When your car starts sliding, start treating it like a hovercraft as it just slides around sideways through turns. Don't point the car where you're going, just direct the power of the vehicle to give you the right course and apply power accordingly.

It also helps to just pump the throttle while you're drifting. You never really drift on full throttle because it just gets unruly at that point.

Also, tested is doing a video series where they're teaching a lady how to drift. First episode is very enlightening. So fun seeing people finally getting how it's done and just have their minds blown. Once you know how to drift, it's actually fairly easy. Just need to make the switch between car and hovercraft smoothly in your head.

Been playing this the past couple of days. Managed to get it over half off on EGS by applying that coupon I got for redeeming Rocket League last week. But man, I’m really digging it. The music, art, and driving model just induce a flow state that feels so good when you’re nailing the driving line. Definitely a high recommend for rally game fans.

Can confirm that here in the prairies in Canada, it's "punch buggy" like Vinny and not "slug bug" like Alex.

Also this game looks rad.

I was a big fan of absolute drift and the vibes are quite good in both games. I found the career was a little more repetitive than I liked and I usually just go for the time attack, just like absolute drift.

are these courses fully procedural or, is it a map and they randomly determine start/stop? I may have missed that. Looks awesome.

Great to see a Germany stage with the hinkelstein, similar to Panzerplatte.

I don't gravitate toward racers but put so much time into Absolute Drift just climbing the leaderboards. Fantastic game. I keep unconsciously playing this like it's AD and botching the turns.

There's a (fake) BMW M1 in this? I need to play this.

There is some proper rally nerd car choices in this game and i love it! Never seen Lada's group B/S car in a game before!

What are you control setups? are you using a controller ? i have hard time controlling the car

this seems like a really good First Rally game. dirt rally is just a bit too simmy to recommend

also, a lotta these games reward the scandinavian flick even when it's not the most appropriate maneuver. just a piece of advice for alex on hairpin turns

Whatever you think of the Mini, it was actually a legit amazing rally car and won a lot of events in the 60s.

Yay a racing game! This looks alright. I don't if the duders checked out Project Cars 3 but it's a really good one of those Gran Turismo/Forza Motorsport type games. I like it because it actually feels good with a controller and isn't trying to be ultra realistic like the previous Project Cars games.

this seems pretty legit, classic rally cars like r5 turbo's, m3 e30's and m1's and even a volvo in there.
