I don't think I'll ever understand people who don't know the difference between "That game is bad" and "I don't like that game", like Dan with Metro. Is it really THAT hard to see the merits of something you dislike? It's so ridiculously closed minded. I didn't even play the new Metro game, it just seems like a silly thing for someone who loves video games.

I am 100% the audience for watching Vinnie play this crazy-ass game. I'm 0% the audience for the Wrestling Hour talk show. This is such a dilemma.

@the_nubster: that's fair enough I guess. I was just in a real "why can't people just be decent to other people" state of mind when that came up. Which is not a good state to listen to Dan in.

Without Abby there was no one to stop the wrestling talk, the terrible, terrible wrestling talk. I wish we could go back to the golden days when Jeff would mention wrestling once every 6 months and it was with shame and embarrassment of having done so in public, and then he would quickly change the topic.

Dan is luring people into the false assumption that openly talking about wrestling is O-K when it should be confined to hushed whispers out of earshot of the general public. Let "those people" congregate and discuss it behind closed doors and draped windows.

I'm making my way through the armor/weapons list completion for 100% in this myself and man dan wasn't kidding it becomes quite the slog. They really jammed this game full of soooo much shit that is entirely optional.

I am starting to think they are trying to avoid using some of the more OP shards/weapons. I mean I have to figure Dan would have at least heard of Welcome Company after getting 100%/platinum.

Bat Wings are not a crafting items and are not actual bat wings. They are a piece of equipment that are craftable. Super easy ingredients, probably already have them.

Please try Welcome Company as your triangle shard. It replaces the bats you aren't using, and makes dealing with the medusa heads 1000% more pleasant.

Also that section where Dan said you were wasting time to get to where you already were is actually a platforming puzzle that leads to upgrades/chests.

PSA: Shortcuts only apply to the items you activate on the shortcut. When you paste all of your current items, you're making an entire loadout. But if you took a blank shortcut and only chose a different sword, the shortcut would only swap the sword and none of your other items/shards.

I'm all for talking about how ridiculous Jericho is but they completely missed a blue skinned, flower "tattooed" lady wearing a gas mask and wolf head being told she looks too serious.

This is literally the place I go to escape friends that only talk about wrestling. Please stop talking about it on stream.

Bat Wings is a scarf you can craft, not an item that drops.

Weapon choices are kind of limited for Vinny right now, either he has to dedicate time to dig through the list and hunt for materials to craft them which he has been avoiding all this time or just grind gold for more 8 and 16 bit coins. There's also the demon barber drop, but even that might be a little weak at this stage of the game. There's also the matter of matching weapon shards. He is kind of low on gold because candles aren't dropping money since they always have to drop the mp flower due to Vinny's constant usage of spells.

The train enemy is quite strong, it drops the resist curse shard, if you think farming it and sitting through the train ride every time is time consuming, imagine wanting to get 9 copies of it. There is a trick to kill the enemy relative safely. I think the mechanic with this enemy is that if it is facing you directly you take constant, and quite damaging, curse base damage. Which means you are likely going to get your health halves fighting it. This calls for jumping and hitting it in its back, it will turn around, and repeat. However you can also move to the left train cart and hide behind/on top of some boxes so you will be away from direct gaze range, then just equip a gun and shoot it until it dies safely.

Also I rather listen to Dan talk about wrestling than his hot takes on video games.

This is a good series, thanks for doing it. I've missed games like this and it's cool watching Vinny play through it his way!

100%'d this game last month. Easiest "castlevania" by far. Just use Welcome Company shard + dropped weapon from the monster that gave yall Heretical Grinder shard for ALL normal mob areas. For bosses, get Bunnytransformation shard from the playboy bunnies and chun-li kick them to oblivion.

^ That will carry yall until you get access to the 8-Bit Dungeon. From there, get the 8-Bit Fireball, rank it up if you can, and finish the game. It is bar none the best damaging shard for your buck(mana).

Even when out of focus, Mike's hair still looks great!

Vinny, some of the slower weapons are much more effective if you do a short hop and swing. When you land you can quickly swing again. You want to only swing while in the air with the slower stuff.
