Quick Look: Dragon's Dogma (Nintendo Switch)

Could. Not. Stand the old timey English and the constant yapping in this game when I tried playing it ages ago. Still can't.

Seanbaby once posted about how Dead Rising 2: Off The Record made him realize that as long as they added some new content and moved things around each time, he'd happily re-buy Dead Rising 2 every few years for the rest of his life.

That's pretty much what Dark Arisen made me realize about Dragon's Dogma.

Oh jesus you guys are so unbelievable. Even the DEVELOPER of the game described it as such. This game. The amount of information you can find that tells you what an RPG is (and how you are probably wrong on what the concept is apparently) is so wide spread its hard to believe you can act so ignorant and elitist at the same time.

Anyways, Dragons Dogma is one of the best RPGs of all time. - me, and most everyone on the internet who knows what an RPG is.

If y'all did a Dragon's Dogma playdate in the near future... would love to see it!

Oh boy, it was hard to watch this video. This game is fantastic but the tutorial segment Brad was in is kind of confusing if you're not paying full attention.

If you're curious about what the deal is with this game, then it might be worth going back and watching this Vinny and Patrick QL from back in the day.

this game deserves a place in the Underdog-Game Hall of Fame, definitely would be my first buy on a switch...if I had one... That said if you haven't played this game yet, it's still amazing and even after buying 4 copies over the years/systems, I'd happily buy it again, It's great. Seriously the most blindsided I've ever been by a video game ending and without spoiling it, what a f***ing ride that is. This game has an incredibly terrific but underrated soundtrack to it as well.

Playing on PC is fun especially with the ability to use Reshade, even use third party hook-script and playing it in Geometry 3D VR this game is just fk'ing rad all the way through. Portability on switch kind of rounds this one out! Good on Cappy for acknowledging they hit gold with this, hopefully someday we'll see a 2. I honestly thought during MHW's reveal (specifically the mantling part) that THAT was DD2 (and sadly, wish it had been even after many hours of MHW, the tact and snap and combat with climbing mechanics wasn't even close to how great DD:DA did it. *sidenote, MHW's menu toggles use some of the SFX from Dragon's Dogma!)

I dunno, I think Patrick was into it. I still recall him enthusiastically explaining the ending in (I think?) that year's GOTY podcast.

Curious if there is a sequel in the works, instead I find out Netflix is doing a Dragon's Dogma anime series. Weird.

There's a anime in the works that's related to this so maybe there's a game that will come out of no where.

Wow, censoring rude/lewd words in multiple languages seems like an exercise in frustation. You know how many dirty words there are across multiple languages that are 3 or 4 letters and totally reasonable to find in a name? Kutrina or Lulu are names that should be filtered out for instance.
