E3 2011: Prey 2 Interview

so excited for this.

Looks really good but i wonder if the parkour will be like Brink or Mirror's Edge.

Giant Bomb needs to distinguish their "featured" videos better.

Open world? FPS? With Bethesda? Noire elements?

This game looks great.  I cannot wait to play this. 

Good interview, game sounds decent, and that guy was a really awesome interviewee.

(Also sounds a little Deus-ex)

:( I really don't think I can get on board with this game, maybe my opinion will change later, who knows, but this seems to take everything about the original and just throws it all out the window.

It's all fine and good to say that you can go in stealthy or guns blazing, but what game has ever done that properly other than Deus Ex?

At first I wasn't sure but hearing how the game will be played makes me think that it'll be a lot better than the 1st one.

The game looks great but I really want to see Brad's John Carmack interview. Brad is the best GB interviewer so I can't wait for it.

They showed a chase on GameTrailers and it looked cool. If they get the open world stuff right I could be great.

Hell yes. This is one of the coolest games at the show, IMO. Can't wait to play it. The open world aspect and the noir aesthetic could make this something really special.

Really hoping this game is good, I can't wait for gameplay footage. Gonna take down so many replicants.

Definitely seems to be making a turn for the better. I hope they played Strangers Wrath before making this. Looking good though.

I for one, liked the First Prey. It had some issues, but I had a very good experience. This looks like it could be even more interesting then the 1st prey, I love their take on it. Not someone that says let's do a sequel that is almost identical to the first. Good job.

Can't wait for that interview.. I've also always been a fan of John Carmack (who hasn't?), you always feel like you've somehow become more intelligent after one of his speeches. :) Listening to someone that smart is just inspiring.

I liked the original Prey, I was fun to play though one time and that was about it. So I don't feel a "deep" connection to the universe. That said: I thing the concept of a SciFi Bounty Hunter sounds neat. I'm interested in it. I think at the very least they deserve for me to keep an eye on the game to see where it goes.

Glad he got a little more specific by the end, because "very much player choice in what they get to choose and when they get to choose it" just wasn't as enlightening as I was hoping that sentence would be.

Can't wait, really excited that its set in an sci-fi open world and how parkour plays in traversing this world.

I didn't play the first Prey, how can I actually be excited for this one?

It sounds like Oblivion in outer space, and that's something I need.

I might actually buy this game.  I'll be intrigued to learn how emergent encounters and such are when the game comes out.

I was hoping Brad was going to ask about the traversal and how players can explore. From the CG trailer, Killian is seen doing a lot of flashy parkour, I was hoping to find out if this was an integral part of traversing the world.

To rip from a Kotaku article, Mass Effect meets Blade Runner gets me really excited. Nice job on the Western twangy music Joey or whoever edited this video.

had no interest in this game til i saw it being demoed on G4 the other night. now it's on my radar for sure.

I like this dude. His game seems neat.

This game looks remarkably impressive.  Not just the graphics, which are gorgeous, but the environment design seems really deep too.

I liked the original. Looking forward to seeing an extended gameplay demo of this.

Machinema did a gameplay demo of this and it looks pretty awesome, has a neat cover mechanic where you can jump on to or hang off ledges nathan-drake style and a nifty vision mode for determining targets.

I never played the original Prey so I might be wrong, but the sequel seems completely unrelated other than the fact that it has aliens. Was the title of "Prey" just too perfect and appropriate of a name?
Regardless, this seems really, really, really cool and I really want to see gameplay.

Has anyone ever noticed that during whichever event is taking place, Brad always starts the interview with: "(event name) rages on." Just some little thing I noticed about Brad.

Anyways, excellent interview as always.

I'm pretty sure I want to play this game.
