Looks like they didn't have a lot to show with The Evil Within at E3. Not even some sort of actual trailer or anything. Still, really liking pretty much everything I've heard about it so far; been following this thing pretty adamantly since it was first unveiled as Project Zwei.

Also, when they say 'core' survival horror i think they simply mean there's to be a scarcity of ammunition and will heavily promote the idea of forcing you to adapt -- be it running away or using other means of attack like traps, which they've brought up often enough as well.

bethesda is like that company making those B games that doesn't get all the awards but the audience really loves.

The Evil Within looks crazy. Oddly it's the game I'm most looking forward to right now.

My sentiments exactly.

The one game I was hoping for that didn't get announced- what a bummer. At least there's always Mirror's Edge 2 and Battlefront!

Yeah, with that three dog twitter tease from earlier, I was pretty pissed Fallout wasn't here. Especially since the Mad Max trailer was directly after The Elder Scrolls: Online trailer.

Might be a good thing because that would imply that it is coming well into the future generations. Thusly, better mechanically.

@divina_rex: I hadn't thought of that. There's always the (slim) possibility that they're developing with the PC as the lead platform, in which case that wouldn't matter.

Don't worry, next year for sure. I never saw Fallout 4 as a launch window game anyway, and I bet they're taking their sweet ass time with it.

When I went to reserve the PS4 and Xbox One from GameStop, the manager told me something very interesting - Bethesda was saving their Fallout 4 announcement for the last day of E3.

So keep your fingers crossed!

Man, Fallout 3 and New Vegas are still keeping me plenty entertained with all the great mods that exist for them. The games can be crashy as hell, but still, I think I can keep myself entertained on them with their sandbox qualities for at least another year.

I don't get as immersed in the Elder Scrolls universe, unfortunately, and yes I'd love to see Fallout 4 on the Skyrim engine.

As for Wolfenstein, I really liked Return to Castle Wolfenstein a lot better than the more recent Wolfenstein. But I still had a lot of fun playing the newer one anyway. Now...Rage....that game was an ultra disappointment.

The Evil Within sounds really interesting. I'm wondering how well an Elder Scrolls MMO can hold my interest since I loved 4 & 5 but also for the fact that I haven't seen/heard much with how they will handle mods, which I'm excited to try 5 with since I got a PC only a few months ago (have to imagine that it can't be the same).

Patrick says a lot of things that are almost common sayings but aren't quite like "It didn't catch fire with people"

Word. Bethesda Game Studios can't write for diddly-squat; Obsidian are the best in the business. Let them develop Fallout games, have Bethesda Softworks do proper QA testing, and then just let the magic happen.

I know they developed New Vegas, but I want Fallout to be a permanent Obsidian joint. I also put emphasis on proper QA testing because, unfortunately, BethSoft left New Vegas in a really bad place by not addressing the major bugs in the Gamebryo engine and having New Vegas suffer for it.
