Okay so those tools...those got passed down for generations and finally given to Brono. Then he went back in time and gave them to a carpenter. They were then passed down through generations and eventually given to Brono. HOW WERE THOSE TOOLS MADE!?

I love time travel. It boggles the mind. This scenario comes up all the time in movies and other fiction and would essentially require a splitting of the timeline. However, the issue is usually better left alone because of the complexity and confusion in trying to make it work. Also, MAGIC!

Bootstrap paradox, it's a hell of a thing.

Cyrus killed me the first time I tried to fight him. I don't even know what happened because the next time he stopped fighting me like he was supposed to.

I forget. Aren't all the chests in the ruins better if you open them in the future?

Those tools must have inspired the Song of Time...

Anyway, have they gotten so dispassionate about this Run that they spend a lot of time talking about some bad T.V. show to the point where the characters in the game just stand there not doing anything? Anyway, at least they solved the Byrus thing.

Holy shit! Bobo clone! Remember what Doc Brown said about meeting yourself whilst time traveling Bobo...

There's actually an entire webcomic that uses that as it's basis for time travel.

The whole Cyrus sidequest was exactly where I got stuck on Chrono Trigger.

Couldn't figure out what to do to advance it, so I quit.

Man, I've never seen Robo wearing the bandeezy, sowing seeds. I thought the only thing Robo ever looked like while restoring the forest is a giant irrigator/thresher thing.

Also, man, in what video game EVER have they let your player character personally do any sort of carpentry? They always make you find some asshole carpenter who has inevitably lost his tools/saw/whatever.

Haha, Lumierre. You're great, Patrick.

I think I would have loved this game if I had the opportunity of playing it at the time it originally came out. Now I find these games with turn-based battles, etc far too tedious. The traditional RPG from this era as well as the JRPG of today just... is no longer on my gaming radar. Fun to watch someone else play through it though.
