I'm pretty sure Grateful Saeba made a reference to Megane Super ("let me tell you about this eyeglasses company I worked for...") and, by proxy, the Super World of Sports era of Genichiro Tenryu during the intro to the MMA fight: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_World_of_Sports

There's a fair amount of discussion of Tenryu and his arcing career in Chris Charlton's book Eggshells talking about the history of all wrestling shows at Tokyo Dome. Highly recommended if you haven't gone through it yet.

They explain the match differences in the main menus, which is about it for those explanations. There's not too much of a difference with the MMA other than removing most of the traditional wrestling moves from your arsenal.

Was that a Larry Sanders Show reference at the end?
