Game Mess Mornings 12/07/22

My favourite part about the Days Gone thing is the Kotaku article that ends with "Garvin has since moved on from Sony Bend Studio, and is now working on a game that has NFTs." which is just perfect.

EDIT: Also, isn't Days Gone the game where there are quests where you sell people into slavery?

@cozmicaztaway: they're not slave camps...they're "labor camps!" And you sell someone there as part of a quest and when you walk buy these Not Slave Camps, you watch the prisoners get beaten and stuff, but you can't intervene. Even though your main dude is all FREEDOM the whole time. Caveat: I only read about it and then watched YouTube videos, but, yeah, it's pretty nuts. I think at one point you say, like, "hey cool it" to a slaver or something, so you're good!

As a creative it must be frustrating to come to terms with your writing not evoking much of a strong feeling from an audience, even the fanboys are realistic about it.

He does deserve all the clowning in the world for blaming it on "woke reviewers" and alleging they hadn't played the game though, people who sincerely think like that are just a couple steps out from becoming full on conspiracy theorists..

We might be woke, but Garvin is weak.
