Is it not possible to actually download the BombCast at this time? The Download button doesn't seem to work.

Yeah, I had the same issue. Looking at the page source, I found the following link:

http://media.giantbomb.com/podcast/giantbombcast-071508.mp3

Hitting that started the download. Also note that changing the date on the end of the URL to the appropriate values will let you download the other podcasts as well. I imagine they'll have the button links fixed soon.
