Load Our Last Save: Load Our Last Souls: Part 01

Eh, I remember when I played this game for the first time, I looked up literally nothing on the internet and beat the game myself. I still have that character I beat the game with, and it is mind numbing to me now, after clearing this game 17 times and DSII 13 times, how I beat the game like that. That guy had a +4 Short Sword, Stone Set armor unupgraded and Heather Shield +2. Stat points were put in Intelligence for no reason it seems like, as well as a whole bunch in Faith while I only used Heal. I had a lot in Resistence as well.

Completely 'wasted' character, and I cleared the game like that. Today, I can probably clear the entire game in 6 hours without speed running. I had 87 hours on that first character.

This was Vinny's first real play through the game. The slow pace is completely understandable to me. The bonewheels can also be extremely difficult if you insist on using your shield instead of dodging. They do continuous damage to you so the shield is somewhat useless and you should get out of the way in the first place.

But yeah, the game is pretty easy, you just need to know and understand some stuff. Vinny clearly didn't yet, at this point.

@chummy8: When these videos first went up, I hadn't played any souls games. I've beaten BB and DS3 multiple times over now and just beat DS1 for the first time tonight. I'm going to sit and watch all of these again while it's still fresh in my mind. Good times, noodle salad.
